FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Eavestrough Company

Q. ARE YOU INSURED?
Answer: We have government regulated Workplace Safety Insurance Board (WSIB) coverage. In addition, we have $2,000,000 liability insurance to protect your property in case of an accident. You should ask all your contractors for a “Certificate of Liability Insurance”. We provide this as part of our Quote Package.

Q. WHICH ONE OF YOU IS BRONSON AND WHICH ONE IS JOHNSON?
Answer: Actually, neither! Bronson Johnson is the name of the gentleman who created our sister company in Milton, Vermont over 20 years ago! When we opened The Ottawa area chapter of the company, we decided to keep the name.

Q. HOW MANY DOWNSPOUTS SHOULD I HAVE ON MY HOUSE?
Answer: The number of Downspouts required is dependent on the configuration of your home. FYI, the general rule of thumb is one downspout for every 40 linear feet.

Q. IS A LEAF-SCREEN NECESSARY?
Answer: No, not in all situations. In many new developments there are no mature trees therefore it is not necessary to invest in leaf screens. We do recommend a Leaf Screen for homes with mature trees in the area. We also recommend Leaf Screens for homes with metal roofs or roofs which make your eavestroughs susceptible to sliding ice and snow loads, such as a skylight.

Q. WHAT TYPE OF FASTENING SYSTEM DO YOU USE?
